Artist Krista Kim explores digital art making using light as her medium. Of her work Krista explains:
My work has a mysterious and meditative quality, mostly due to the painterly composition and vibrating quality of colour. Subtle gradients of colour cannot be seen by the human eye, and is created digitally, therefore behaving as vibration in our retina. As I mount the artworks in plexigas, the art adapts a new visual interpretation, because as they resembled large screens emitting light. Many viewers were search for the electrical cord behind the artwork, because the colour’s vibrancy was so acutely translated through code using the latest printing technology. I call this phenomena Digital Optical Communication.
