The Gourmand magazine, 'A 20th Century Palate

The Gourmand is an incredible magazine from London, that launched in July of this year. An exploration of art and food, the first issue dishes up a range of goodies, including a recipe for Jeff Koons’ apple dumplings, a food safari in Brixton markets with the 2 Bears (DJs from Hot Chip) and a lesson in crocodile fishing in Northern Australia. Our favourite article (for obvious reasons ), is a study of food and 20th century art and design movements, with plates of food against hand-cut patterned paper tablecloths. Appetising? Perhaps not. Pretty? Yes.
